Edel Gonzalez

Edel Gonzalez (59) of Wayne, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 16th, 2018 while on vacation in Cuenca, Ecuador with his wife, Sulema Gonzalez. They were an amazing couple who lit up the room wherever they were. They met in grammar school and married after graduating Passaic High School in 1978. Together they built a life focused on family, love, generosity, and hard work.

Edel was born in Camaguey, Cuba. Predeceased by his mother, Nelida Gonzalez. Survived by his daughter, Erica Joy and Michael Almeida; son, Adam Matthew and Erin Quigley; two grandchildren; his father, Luis Gonzalez and wife Canda; sister, Ana Niurka and husband Luis Santin; brother, Jorge Verona; father-in-law, Luis Sanchez, Sr.; brother-in-laws, Luis Sanchez, Jr. and wife Margaret, and David Sanchez; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 from 2:00pm-6:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Cremation is private.
