Aidelys Burgos

Aidelys Burgos (46), affectionately known as Aidy, of Newark, transcended from this earthly realm into the eternal arms of our Savior on March 5th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, compassion, and cherished memories.

Born on April 19, 1977 in Passaic, New Jersey. Aidy was the middle child of Victor Burgos and Aida Burgos (nee Santiago). Aidy brought joy and warmth to her family from the moment she entered this world. She

was a devoted sibling to her sister, Joslyn (Burgos) Pareja, and brother, Emmanuel Burgos; characterized by immense love, understanding and support. She was an amazing aunt to Jazmyn and Christian Pareja whom she loved as if they were her own. She was a wonderful sister-in-law to Steven Pareja and Kelly Arroyo-Burgos, a loving mother-in-law to Chelsea Pomales.

Growing up, Aidy had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a strong work ethic. She worked in the corporate world for many years, but she always had a passion for the medical field. She decided to pursue her passion and in 2011 she became a Medical Assistant and Certified PhIebotomy Technician with her most recent employer being Atlantic Health Systems working with cancer patients. She loved the work that she did and was a beacon of empathy, dedication and unwavering commitment.

Her most important role was being a mother to her three children; Josaidy, Annalise, and Joshua Pomales. Her children were the light of her life, and she poured her heart and soul into raising them with love, compassion, and wisdom. She instilled in them values of kindness, integrity, and resilience, shaping them into the remarkable individuals they are today. She was also a devoted grandmother to Aidelyn, Ethan, Ivan and Halo. Her love for them knew no bounds, shining brightly through every moment shared together.

She was known for her contagious laughter, her compassionate heart, her beautiful voice, and her relentless strength. She was devoted to her family, but was also a loyal friend and confidante to many. Her genuine

friendship was a treasure cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of camaraderie, laughter, and shared experiences that will be forever cherished by those who were fortunate enough to call her a friend. Her journey in life was marked by her unwavering faith and commitment to God's word. Aidy will be deeply missed by her family and friends; and though we mourn, Aidy's loss in the physical sense, we take solace in the promise of eternal life where there is no more pain, but only everlasting joy. Her memory will be forever cherished and held close to our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace, alongside her father who departed before her, surrounded by the love and light she brought into this world.
