Ana María Pena, born on December 21, 1952, in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, passed away on November 19th, 2024. She was a radiant soul who brought light and love to everyone she touched. In the early 1980s, she moved to Passaic, New Jersey, where she worked as a dedicated head seamstress at Levy. Soon after, her beloved husband, Leoncio Pena, joined her, and together they built a life of love and resilience.
Ana was elegance personified—a true diva known for her red lipstick, captivating fragrance, and a heart of gold. She was always ready to help others, love fiercely, and give selflessly. As a mother, daughter, wife, and friend, she was truly one of a kind.
Ana’s love and memory will live on in our hearts forever. Mami, your light will guide us always. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Leoncio Peña; her brothers Rafael Perdomo, César Perdomo, José Miguel Perdomo, Leonardo Perdomo, and Cunin Perdomo; and her sisters Milta Perdomo and Purísima Perdomo. She also leaves behind her daughters Elgica Perdomo (her model), Fausta Díaz (her Kardashian), Ana María Peña Perdomo (her blonde), Alexandra Perdomo (her chocolate bonbon), and her youngest son, Leoncio Antonio Peña Perdomo (The Baby). Additionally, she is survived by her cherished sons-in-law José Díaz and Fimbar Miguel, and her daughter-in-law Giselle.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jerany Barajas, Shaquille Kornegay, Rondell Gary, Yozue Cruz, Shannon Díaz, Solei Díaz, Sanaya Díaz, Faith Pimentel, Corrie Weaver, Raquelle Weaver Perdomo, Nyaliz Peña, Anyelle Peña, Yamil Peña, Azariel Peña, and Jesiah King Peña; as well as her great-grandchildren: Jayce Kornegay, Maison Kornegay, Ari Cyn Kornegay, Ellie Tran, Jenaseli Gary, Rondell Jr. Gary, Sincere Gary, Riley Gary, Royal Gary, and countless nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will always remember her.
Today, Ana María is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved mother, María Perdomo (Blanca), and her brother Fausto Perdomo.
