Angel Manuel Mendez Litche

Angel Manuel Méndez Litche (75), of Rahway, NJ formerly of Englewood, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

He was the Lighting Director at Palace of Fine Arts Freddy Beras-Goico (Palacio de Bellas Artes de Santo Domingo) before immigrating to New York City in the late 1960's with his wife, Maria "Trina". In

New York City, he worked at a headstone manufacturer where he learned the trade for over 10 years before his entrepreneurial spirit led him to launch his own cemetery headstone company which still operates today as a third-generation business.

Angel was preceded in death by his parents, Perfecto Méndez and Antonia Litche; his sisters Yolanda and Cecilia. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria "Trina" Méndez (nee Tejeda); his four sons, Angel Jr., Anthony, Danny and Andy Méndez; his daughters-in-law, Marivel, Priscilla and Jackie; his ten grandchildren, Angel III, Zachary, Olivia, Skyler, Maya, Jordan, Michael, Johan, Alec and Jace; his brothers, Rafael and Salvador; his sisters Gladys, Santa, Milady and Julia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18th, 2022 from 4:00pm-7:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ.

Second visitation will take place on Monday, December 19th, 2022 from 9:30am-10:30am in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Entombment, to follow, at 12:00pm in Rosedale Cemetery, 750 East Linden Avenue, Linden NJ.
