Angel Valer

Angel Luis Valer (23) of Hawthorne, passed away on Sunday, July 3rd, 2016. Born in Wayne, NJ to Angel R. Valer and Carmen Colon. He served in the Marine Corps from 2011-2015, where he earned the good conduct medal, combat action ribbon (Afghanistan), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (W/I Star), NATO Medal-ISAF Afghanistan, National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Expert Rifle Qualification Badge (2). He was a student at Farleigh Dickinson University, of Teaneck. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 8th, 2016 from 5:00pm-9:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at 9:00am in St. Anthony of Padua's Church, corner of Myrtle Avenue and Oak Street, Passaic NJ. Burial, to follow, at 10:15am in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton NJ.
