Asia Gomez

Asia A. Gomez (79) of Passaic, passed away on Thursday, August 24th, 2017. She was born on September 30th, 1937 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, to Simon Gomez and Ana Small. Asia was one of 7 siblings. She was a hard working woman and very giving. She helped bring most of her family to the United States. She lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; doing word searches, dancing, and going on vacation with her grandchildren. She never met a stranger. She had the ability to touch the heart of every person she encountered. She will be dearly missed. Asia is survived by her daughter, Merca Martinez and husband Jose Martinez; brothers, Simon Gomez and Felipe Oliver; sisters, Dignora Oliver and Lorenza Oliver; granddaughters, Bianca Montanez and Jessica Martinez; grandchildren, Antonio Harris, Gabriella Montanez, and Bianca Harris; nieces and nephews, Victor Vladimir Simon, Jr., Yocasta Jose Cuqui, Starky, Katherine, and many more nieces and nephews not mentioned. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31st, 2017 from 5:00pm-9:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Burial will take place on Friday, September 1st, 2017 at 10:00am in Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Avenue, Clifton NJ.
