Carmen Lydia Velez

Carmen Lydia Velez (76) of Highland Springs, VA passed away on Thursday, October 15th, 2015. Born in Adjuntas, PR to Jose Gerardo Torres and Isabel Ramos on June 29th, 1939. She married Antonio Velez on August 16, 1967 at the age of 28. She was a stay-at-home mom to her 5 children, Sandra, Antonio Jr., Samuel, Damaris, and Arlen. In 1989, Carmen faithfully served as a co-pastor alongside her husband when they established the church Primera Iglesia Pentecostal Maranatha in Elizabeth, NJ. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 22nd, 2015 from 6:00pm-9:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Burial will take place on Friday, October 23rd, 2015 at 10:30am in St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Road, South Hackensack NJ.
