Carmen Rodriguez

Carmen Rodriguez, 70, of Paramus, passed away on December 23, 2023.

Carmen was born on February 18, 1953 in Finisterre, La Coruña, Galicia, Spain, to Francisco Insua Gonzalez and Agustina Canosa Lado.

Carmen met her future husband, Manuel, whom she married in 1971. They immigrated to the United States in 1978. During their years together, they had two children and one grandchild.

Carmen was a proud homemaker. In her youth she enjoyed swimming, especially free-diving. She was a devout Catholic who loved going to Church, singing, and reading the Bible. She devoted her life to taking care of her family and the many pets she cared for. She was a generous donor to charities that supported vulnerable children. She will be remembered for her strength in character and resilience.

Esteemed mother of Maria Sonia Gross and her husband Gregory, and Monserrat Rodriguez. Cherished abuela to Gianna. And, never forgotten sister to Áurea, Candido, Encarna, Juan Jose, Lurdes, Maruja, Paco, Rita, and Tony.

Carmen will be sorely missed, more than she knows.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28th, 2023 from 9:00am - 11:00am in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ.

Entombment, to follow, at 11:30am in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton NJ.
