Casilda Ofelia Guillen

Casilda Ofelia Guillen, lovingly known as Tina, was born on March 15, 1944, in Lima, Peru, and passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 81.

At the age of 44, Tina courageously immigrated to the United States with her only son, Eduardo Almenara, in search of a better life. She dedicated herself fully to her family and worked tirelessly to provide, showing extraordinary perseverance, determination, and resilience throughout her life.Tina is deeply loved and will be forever remembered by her son, Eduardo Almenara, his wife, Chany, and her cherished granddaughters Shannen and Alex. As well as other beloved family members, her closest friends, and those whom she considered family. She now rests in peace, reunited in Heaven with her parents, her beloved husband, and other family and friends whom she held close to her heart. Those who knew Tina will remember her boundless love, generosity, and strength. She treated everyone like family, and no one ever left her presence without feeling cared for. You could always expect a present on Christmas, even if she had only met you a few times. She worked hard, loved harder, and never wavered in her pride for her family. Above all, she lived her life as a shining example of determination, independence, and unconditional love.Her legacy will live on in the strength, love, and values she instilled in those closest to her. We honor and celebrate Tina’s remarkable life and the love she shared with all of us. Visitation for Tina will be held on August 31, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Alvarez Funeraria Inc, located at 66 Passaic Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055. A Mass will take place on September 2, 2025, at 9:00 AM at St Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, situated at 101-103 Myrtle Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055. The burial will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07014, commencing at 10:30 AM.
