Chrismery Cruz Castro

Chrismery Cruz-Castro (10/23/1994 - 10/10/2024) was a spiritual and kind-hearted individual whose presence was felt everywhere she went. Born in Santo Domingo, DR, raised in Paterson, NJ, she moved to Dubai, UAE in 2022.

Chrismery was known for her compassionate nature, giving spirit, and witty sense of humor. She loved to help others by giving back to the community and volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader for 7 years. In 2013, Chrismery received her Massage Therapy Certificate from Fortis Institute then went on to graduate from Passaic County Community College in 2018 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from Caldwell University in 2021.

Chrismery was extremely hard working in everything she did, working as a Benefit Analyst and also becoming a yoga instructor. She used her love for yoga to help others as well. Chrismery had a love for travel and would travel alone, with her partner, or with friends, and attended retreats worldwide with her fellow yogis.

Chrismery lit up any room she walked into and made an impact in the lives of all of those around her. She was the type of person that only saw flowers, where others saw weeds. She was such a beautiful force of nature and to know her was to love her. She will be dearly missed.

Chrismery is survived by her 4 sisters and 3 brothers, her nieces McKenzie and Nylah, her parents, Ruth and Julio, and her partner Pablo.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic, NJ 07055.
