Christopher Lee Vanderlaan

Christopher Lee Vanderlaan (25) of Paterson, departed this earth and arrived at his eternal home on Sunday, March 28th, 2021. Born in Paterson, NJ to Melissa Delgado, his father, Benjy Bryant and dad, David Vanderlaan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1st, 2021 from 11:00am-2:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez de Paterson, 267 Park Avenue, Paterson NJ. Burial, to follow, at 2:30pm in Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa NJ. Kris was very talented and extremely funny. He loved and was loved by many friends and family. He was known for always making jokes, being so loyal but most of all his music. Kris was an upcoming artist who had many plans and big opportunities ahead of him. He spent a lot of his time putting hard work in the studio and was always determined to have new, fire music ready to drop. He loved his family; His mother was his best friend. Kris was a dedicated father to his beautiful daughter. She was always put first and Kris always said when he made it, she makes it. Anywhere he goes in life his daughter was going to be right beside him until the very end. Kris had the personality that brightened up the room. He touched so many lives. Kris received his education in the Paterson Public School system where he graduated from International High School. He went on to receive his forklift certification where he worked in a warehouse managing forklifts. Kris’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by his daughter, Lavender Mccollough of Paterson, NJ; Mother of his child, Jenefer and his stepchildren, Jayden and Mookaz, all from Paterson, NJ; Sisters, Ashley Vanderlaan of Paterson, NJ, Dynesty Bryant of Paterson NJ, Athena Vanderlaan of Goldthwaite, TX; Brother, Aries Vanderlaan of Goldthwaite, TX; Brother- in- law, Shavere Staton of Paterson NJ; Nephew, Jayce Staton of Paterson, NJ; Grandmother, Ana Delgado of Paterson NJ; and Grandfather Luis Delgado of Paterson NJ; as well as a host of aunts, cousins and friends.
