Honoring the life and celebrating the legacy of our beloved Domingo A. Peralta, affectionately known as “Mingo,” who passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 74.

Born on August 4, 1951, in Pueblo Nuevo, Mao Valverde, Dominican Republic, Mingo lived a life marked by purpose, dedication, and deep love for his family and community. In his early years, he served as a respected school professor, shaping young minds and leaving a lasting impact on countless students through his passion for education.

He also poured his heart into his community by coaching softball in the Dominican Republic, guiding and encouraging many through both sports and mentorship. He was a proud founder of the Social Club Maeños Ausentes, alongside other members of this cherished community, and served as the club’s Sports Director, contributing his leadership, commitment, and passion for bringing people together.

Over the years, Mingo remained closely connected to his family’s land, helping tend to their farm and supporting agricultural work that had long been part of his family’s legacy. He took pride in contributing to that foundation, working alongside others and carrying forward the values of hard work, provision, and responsibility.

He later made his home in Paterson, New Jersey, where he became a proud and active member of the community. Mingo was deeply connected to his roots and culture, and his involvement with Casa Dominicana reflected his love for his heritage and his people. In New Jersey, he worked as a trusted chauffeur, known for his reliability, kindness, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he encountered.

Mingo had a vibrant spirit and a joy for life that was felt by all who knew him. Whether playing softball, bowling, or simply spending time surrounded by family and friends, he brought laughter, warmth, and a sense of togetherness wherever he went.

Above all, Mingo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Idalkys, and his children: Domingo (spouse Roslyn), Alexis (spouse Tia), Idalmi, and Mishael, who carry forward his legacy of strength, love, and resilience.

He is also survived by his many loving brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is now reunited in heaven with his parents, Porfilio Antonio and Maria “Carmela,” and his sister Miriam, leaving behind a family bound together by his love and the memories they will forever cherish.

Mingo will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his generous heart, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. Though our hearts are heavy and we miss him deeply, we find peace in knowing he is now resting in the presence of the Lord ~ and that we will be reunited one sweet day.

Forever loved and never forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
