Deacon Edward J. Ramirez (81) of West Milford (formerly of Passaic), passed away on Thursday, December 31st, 2020. Born in Cuba to Ediberto Ramirez and Olga Gomez. Beloved husband of Mirta Ramirez (nee Boraby).  He is survived by his: Children: Olga Pozo (deceased) Mirtha Miranda Ediberto Ramirez Miguel Ramirez Grandchildren: Carlos Miranda Micheal Miranda Ashley Pozo Meghan Pozo Great grandchildren: Micheal Miranda Lucas Miranda Tyler Miranda Joseph Miranda Adam Miranda Andrew Miranda Frank Camacho Joel Camacho Yazaiah Camacho Ryan Gonyea   Deacon Edward (Beto as he was lovingly called) was ordained Deacon on June 10, 1989 by Bishop Frank J. Rodimer in the Diocese of Paterson, NJ.  He served at St. Nicholas R.C. Church for more than 2 decades until his retirement in 2014. He was Chaplain at Beth Israel & St. Mary's Hospital in Passaic, NJ. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10th, 2021 from 4:00pm-6:00pm in St. Nicholas Church, 153 Washington Place, Passaic NJ. Mass will take place on Monday, January 11th, 2021 at 11:00am. Cremation is private.
