Con gran pesar y gratos recuerdos, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Eloy Vega, quien fue llamado a su eterno descanso el 2025. Eloy, nacido el 1 de Diciembre de 1935, en Naguabo, Puerto Rico, vivió una vida llena de Fe, Amor y Lazos Familiares.

La personalidad de Eloy era un faro de luz que iluminaba cada habitación en la que entraba. Su fe en en Todopoderoso era primordial y su amor por su familia, profundo. Hombre cariñoso, alegre y generoso, Eloy transmitía una calidez que le era propia. Su exuberancia y generosidad de espíritu eran contagiosas y permanecen como recuerdos imborrables en los corazones de quienes tuvieron la fortuna de conocerlo.

Un ministro devoto, Eloy fue un estudiante ferviente de la Biblia, cuya sabiduría y perspectivas brindaron consuelo y guía a muchos. Se enorgullecía de su papel como esposo, padre, suegro, abuelo y bisabuelo, atesorando cada relación con inmenso amor y respeto.

Su legado perdurable es de fe, amor y familia. Entre los muchos recuerdos que sus seres queridos atesorarán, se encuentran su sonrisa radiante, su alegría palpable, su amor por la comida y por alimentar a los demás, especialmente las sopas y los mangos, su convicción de que todos sus nietos se parecían a él, su dominio del dominó, sus cálidos abrazos, sus chapuzones en la playa (cuando era mas joven), sus brazos orquestados mientras cantaba en la iglesia, su pañuelo enjugándose las lágrimas de felicidad, verlo con sus guayaberas/trajes y corbatas, verlo trabajando en su jardín, sus "Sí, amor" al responderle a su esposa Mery, la lectura de la Biblia, sus arrodillamientos cada noche para orar y su fe inquebrantable, una alegría que solo podía provenir de nuestro Padre Celestial.

A Eloy le sobreviven su amada esposa María Magdalena Vega, sus hijos, su hija y su nuera: Eloy Vega Jr., Sonia Vega, Edwin Vega, Lilliam Solis-Vega y Maribel. Sus nietas y nietos (10)/esposos y bisnietos (15):

Rebecca y Charles Ost (Hailey, Olivia y Charles John Ost), Abigail y Héctor Castaneda (Jasiyah y Amariyah Castaneda), Sabrina Vega y Jennifer García (Jreyson y Nevaeh García Vega), Michael Vega y Angelo Tirone, Angélica Vega y Jon Ortiz (Ethan Vega, Areya, Avery y Ezekiel Ortiz), Victoria Deutsch (Moshe y Sophia Simon), Elisheva Maldonado, David y Shaina Maldonado (Daniel y Ezra Maldonado), Yocheved y Mike Soofian (Levi Soofian), Simcha Maldonado, Loanis y Celeste Cabrera quienes continuarán con su legado de fe y amor.

Su ausencia deja un vacío indescriptible, pero su espíritu y sus enseñanzas continúan guiándonos y reconfortándonos. Al lamentar su partida, celebramos la hermosa vida que llevó, marcada por la bondad, la generosidad y una fe inquebrantable en el Todopoderoso. Que su alma descanse en la paz eterna del Todopoderoso.

With heavy hearts, and fond memories, we announce the passing of Eloy Vega, who was called to his eternal resting place on June 25th, 2025. Eloy, born on December 1, 1935, in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, lived a life steeped in faith, love, and familial bonds.

Eloy's personality was a beacon of light that lit up every room he entered. His belief in the Almighty was paramount and his love for his family profound. A loving, joyous, and generous man, Eloy carried a warmth that was entirely his own. His exuberance and generosity of spirit were contagious and remain as indelible memories in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.

A devoted minister, Eloy was an earnest student of the Bible, whose wisdom and insights provided comfort and guidance to many. He took great pride in his role as a husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather, cherishing each relationship with immense love and respect.

His enduring legacy is one of faith, love, and family. Among the many memories that his loved ones will treasure, are his radiant smile, his palpable joy, his love for food and feeding others- particularly soups and mangos, his belief that every grandchild looked just like him, being the ultimate at dominoes, his warm hugs, his doggy paddles at the beach (when he was younger), his orchestrating arms while singing at church, his handkerchief wiping away tears of happiness, seeing him in his guayaberas/ suits and ties, working in his garden, his "Si, Amor" when responding to his wife Mery, reading his bible, kneeling every night in prayer and his unwavering faith, a joy that could only have come from our Heavenly Father.

Eloy is survived by his loving wife Maria Magdalena Vega, his sons, daughter, daughter-in-law, Eloy Vega Jr., Sonia Vega, Edwin Vega, Lilliam Solis-Vega, Maribel . Their granddaughters and grandsons (10)/spouses and great grandchildren (15)-

His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit and teachings continue to guide and comfort us. As we mourn his departure, we celebrate the beautiful life he led, one marked by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering faith in the Almighty. May his soul rest in the Almighty's eternal peace.

A viewing will be held on July 6, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Alvarez Funeraria Inc, 66 Passaic Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055. Visitation will take place on July 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 21 Maple Avenue, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410, starting at 10:30 AM.
