Freddy Filiberto Cintron

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Freddy Filiberto Cintron on April 14, 2026. Freddy is survived by his beloved children with Marta Coronado; Frederick, Fernando, Marta Rocio, and Alfredo, his eight grandchildren, 2 surviving siblings, and several nieces and nephews.

He was born in San Juan De La Maguana, Dominican Republic and was a New Jersey resident for many years.

Freddy was the beloved son of the late Manuel Ernesto Cintron and the late Maria de Regla Castillo, and a dear brother to Olga Margarita, Manuel Joaquin (Manolin), the late Oscar Dario and the late Luis Alberto.

He was an elected congressman in the Dominican Republic representing his native city of San Juan De La Maguana from 1986 to 1990. He was also an avid businessman who owned bicycle, motorcycle, and truck parts stores. After moving to the US, he managed Star Autoparts Store in Passaic, NJ, for most of the 90s.

He continued to work after retirement as he always had the need to keep busy. He was a Security Officer Rover at SJP Properties in Iselin, NJ, and was a member of the 32BJ Union. He would always talk fondly of his coworkers and about his work, always grateful to have this job as it gave him a renewed purpose in life.

Freddy, also known as Fili by those close to him, was known for his boundless energy and cheerful personality. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

His services will be held at Funeraria Alvarez located at 66 Passaic Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055. The visitation will take place on April 19, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and continue on April 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Following the visitation, the burial service will be conducted at Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07012, commencing at 10:30 a.m. on April 20, 2026.
