Gloria Iris De Jesus

Gloria Iris De Jesus, born on September 12, 1952, passed away on June 22, 2025.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria Iris De Jesus, age 72, who peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2025. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Gloria relocated to Paterson, New Jersey in the mid-1970s, where she remained a devoted resident for the rest of her life.

A woman of deep faith, Gloria was a devoted parishioner of the Cathedral of St. John. Her loving, happy spirit and boundless kindness touched everyone who knew her. Gloria had a special gift for making others feel cherished and loved.

Gloria was the beloved widow of William De Jesus, who preceded her in death in 2011. She was a loving mother to Rafael De Jesus and Carlos De Jesus, and a caring stepmother to William De Jesus Jr. and Jesus De Jesus. Above all, Gloria treasured her role as grandmother, loving all her grandchildren deeply and unconditionally.

She found great joy in God's creation, especially in planting and caring for animals, and loved spending peaceful moments at Garret Mountain. Gloria was a loving sister who maintained close relationships with her siblings and extended family.

Those who knew Gloria will forever remember her as a woman whose faith, love, and kindness enriched the lives of all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held on July 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again on July 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Alvarez Funeraria Inc, 66 Passaic Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055.

A burial service will follow on July 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07012.
