Isabel Maria Garcia-Rodriguez

Isabel Maria Garcia-Rodriguez, loving mother and wife passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Hackensack Hospital surrounded by her loving husband, devoted children and grandchildren. Born May 12, 1949 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to Ana Olinda Urena-Guzman and Rafael Cabrera (both deceased).

She dedicated most of her life helping the needy. It was her passion. She will be remembered for her warm heart and willingness to help everyone who was in need even those she never met. There was not a day that went by that she didn’t think about how she was going to send food and clothes to the children in the orphanage in the Dominican Republic. Her mission in life was to give to those in need, she would literally give the clothes off her back for anyone that needed it. Even her last words were, “Take care of the children in Santo Domingo”!

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her adoring family forever. She is survived by her husband Cristino, daughters Maria and Yvonne and son Carlos. Her grandchildren William, Christopher, Jaiden and Jarred. Great-grandchildren Liam, London, Quentin and Lyla. Brothers Juan Manuel, Ramon Antonio, Juan Bolivar (deceased) and Miguel. Sisters Carmen and Nurys (deceased). We pray for her eternal rest and let perpetual light shine upon her. May almighty God bless her and may she Rest In Peace.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023 from 5:00pm-9:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 11th, 2023 at 10:00am in Holy Trinity Church, 226 Harrison Ave, Passaic NJ. Burial, to follow, at 11:15am in St. Nicholas Cemetery, 2 Terrace Street, Lodi NJ.
