Jacqueline Evette Dawson (53) of Clifton, passed away on November 14th, 2023. Born in Passaic, NJ to David Singleton and Shirley Dawson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 from 12:00pm-3:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Cremation is private.

On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, God in his infinite wisdom and His divine love, called out of our midst our beloved Jacqueline Evette Dawson. She was known to her family and friends as Jackie. In His eternal home, she was granted peace and serenity.

Jackie was born on January 6, 1970, to the late Shirley Dawson and David Singleton, Sr. in Passaic, NJ. She pursued her education and degrees in Business, Psychology and Cosmology. She held various jobs as a secretary, Bus Aide, and consultant. Her most recent job, which she loved dearly, was an Activity Coordinator at Chestnut Hill Nursing Home in Passaic, NJ.

Jackie faced many challenges in her life but decided to turn her life around. She was willing to be sponsored and came to believe in a power greater than herself, who she chose to call Jesus. She loved the Lord.

Jackie was a member of Mt. Pilgrím Church in Passaic NJ. She loved singing in the choir and Bible Study because she loved reading, and was such a hoarder of books. She pursued her dream to become an author of two books; "Bent but Not Broken' (2019) and "Two Doors Down," which is still in publication.

She started two ministries, groups; Women of Encouragement and Change Generations. Many people were drawn to Jackie and her sweet spirít. Jackie devoted herself to her family and was the glue that held them together.

Jackie was predeceased by her parents, Shirley Dawson and David Singleton, Sr; one brother, David Jr.; two sisters, Deatra and Teresa. She leaves to cherish her memory her Dearest Children; Dayshone (Taji); Shanequea (Jose); and Jalisa; Dearest Grandchildren; Laru, Jacquell, Zion, Deanna, David, Luvv, Royalty, Kaylania, and Amore Maria; Devoted Brother Raheem Akmadir-Nahsif; Dear Aunt Linda Fields; Beloved

Fiancé Michael Taylor; nieces and nephews; Ramada, Karím, Latia, Kamal, Lindsey, Raheem; and cousins, family, and friends.
