Javier Ortiz

Javier "House" Ortiz, age 52, of Passaic, NJ went home to be with His Lord and Savior and his mother, Aida Montañez on Friday, April 2, 2021 after a lengthy battle with an illness. Javier is survived by his loving companion, Melissa McDonald, his dear children, Javier L. Ortiz, Ashley Catala, Destinee Ortiz, Janiece Galarza, Isaiah Ortiz, Jaydan Montañez, Isabella Ortiz and his sisters, Mayra Leon, Aida Ivonne Ortiz and Sandra Montanez. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Haley and Brianna, 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Javier was a true inspiration to others. He loved to tell stories and make people laugh. His smile was contagious and his animated personality and expressions could light up any room. He loved music and had a voice that could touch your soul. He was a hard worker and a good provider. He was a proud Puerto Rican man with a heart of gold, who loved all of his children and family dearly. He was one-of-a-kind and he will be forever remembered and sadly missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 9th, 2021 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Ave., Passaic, NJ. Burial will take place on Saturday, April 10th, 2021 at 10:30am in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Ave., Clifton NJ.
