Jose Fernando Garay Mendoza

*Spanish* José Fernando Garay Mendoza falleció la mañana del 26 de Febrero del 2021 a los 63 años de edad. Nació en Lima, Perú hijo de Teodora Mendoza e Irineo Garay. Vivió en Surco, Lima-Perú con su esposa Lilia e hijos Fernando Ismael y Lilia Ibet. Se mudaron a los Estados Unidos residiendo en New Jersey.   Fue graduado en Ciencias Económicas y recibió su Maestría en Métodos Cuantitativos, Administración de Empresas, y estudios de Doctorado en Economía en Perú. Sirvió a la Marina de Guerra del Perú con honores y luego se dedicó a la enseñanza superior siendo Catedrático en la Universidad Alas Peruanas.   Obtuvo un Bachiller de Administración de Empresas y una Maestría de Ciencias Administrativas en los Estados Unidos y se desempeñó como Tutor de Matemáticas en Passaic County Community College y Catedrático en la Universidad Fairleigh Dickinson.   José fue un esposo y padre ejemplar, responsable, proveedor y muy amoroso; guiado por el amor de Dios. Querido por su familia y recordado por ser humilde, íntegro, paciente, alegre y bromista. Dispuesto a escuchar, motivar a seguir adelante y fomentar la unión. Nos deja sus enseñanzas de esfuerzo y superación constante. Uno de sus pasatiempos favoritos fue el arte de dibujar y pintar.   José ahora está en presencia del Señor al lado de su madre Teodora, su hermano Luis, y su hijo Cesar. Le sobreviven su esposa Lilia, su hijo Fernando Ismael y su hija Lilia Ibet en New Jersey, su padre Irineo y sus hermanos Nancy Marybel y Marco Antonio en Carolina del Norte.   El velatorio será privado para familiares cercanos. Se realizará el Martes, 2 de Marzo del 2021 de 5:00pm-9:00pm en la Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ.       *English*  Jose Fernando Garay Mendoza passed away the morning of February 26th, 2021 at the age of 63. Born in Lima, Peru to Teodora Mendoza and Irineo Garay. He lived in Surco, Lima-Peru with his wife Lilia and children Fernando Ismael and Lilia Ibet. They moved to the United States residing in New Jersey.    In Peru, he graduated in Economic Sciences and received his Masters in Quantitative Methods in Economics and Masters in Business Administration with courses towards his Doctorate in Economics. He served in the Peruvian Navy with honors and then dedicated himself to teaching as a Professor at Alas Peruanas University in the Faculties of Engineering.   In the USA, he received his Bachelors in Business Administration and Masters in Administrative Science, worked as a Mathematics Tutor in Passaic County Community College and as an Adjunct Professor in Fairleigh Dickinson University.   Jose was an example of a very loving father and a responsible husband providing for his family; guided by the love of God. He was loved by his family and remembered by his humbleness, integrity, patience, and charisma. He was willing to listen, motivate and bring people together. He leaves his teachings of working hard and self-improvement. One of his favorite hobbies was the art of drawing and painting.   Jose is now in the presence of the Lord along side his mother Teodora, his brother Luis, and his son Cesar. He is survived by his wife Lilia, his son Fernando Ismael and daughter Lilia Ibet in New Jersey. He is also survived by his father Irineo, his sister Nancy Marybel and his brother Marco Antonio in North Carolina.   Visitation will be private for close family. It will be held on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 from 5:00pm-9:00pm in the Alvarez Funeral Home, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ.
