Jozef Krawiec

Jozef Krawiec (84) of Garfield, passed away on October 14th, 2022. Born in Poland to Wawrzyniec Krawiec and Zofia Sudol.

Józef was employed as a locksmith in Huta Stalowa Wola, Poland until he came to the US with his family in 1993. He continued working until his retirement as a Maintenance Technician in Bloomfield NJ. His passion of plumbing occupied his free time, where he grew his skills.

Józef was well known in the Garfield community for his sunny personality and eagerness to help others. He spent countless hours riding his bike, meeting new people.

Beloved husband of the late Krystyna Kowal, who passed away in 2000. Devoted father of Jan, Marek, Piotr, Anna and Krzysztof, and loving grandfather and great grandfather.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17th, 2022 from 5:00pm-9:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at 10:00am in St. John Kanty's Church, 49 Speer Ave, Clifton NJ. Burial, to follow, at 11:30 in St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Road, South Hackensack NJ.
