Luis Anselmo Mendoza

Luis A., aged 85, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, in Belleville, New Jersey. Born on May 8, 1941, in Catacaos-Piura, Peru, Luis lived a life marked by determination, resilience, and devotion to his family. In the 1970s, Luis married Maximina Mendoza, with whom he shared a loving partnership that spanned decades. Together, they raised two children, Maria Elena and Luchito. In 1989, Luis made the courageous decision to migrate to the United States in search of better opportunities for his family. Settling in Harrison, New Jersey, he worked tirelessly to establish a new life and eventually succeeded in bringing his entire family to join him in the U.S.Luis found immense joy in witnessing the growth of his family. The births and lives of his five grandchildren: Marilyn, Jocelyn, Tiffany, Aaron, and Jordy—brought him unparalleled happiness. They were his ultimate pride and joy. Luis’s legacy is one of perseverance and love for those closest to him. His journey from Peru to the United States reflects his unwavering dedication to providing a brighter future for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.May Luis’s memory bring comfort and inspiration to those who loved him.

The community is invited to honor and remember Luis during visitation hours on Monday, July 14, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Alvarez Funeraria Inc, located at 66 Passaic Ave, Passaic, NJ. Thereafter, on July 15, 2026 an entombment service will take place at 10:45 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.
