Luisa Cruz

Luisa Cruz (92) of Passaic, passed away on Wednesday, September 24th, 2014. Born in Cuba to Paulino Castaño and Maria Folguira. She was pre-deceased by her parents, and one brother, Francisco Castaño. Survived by one brother, Pedro Castaño, of Cuba; three nieces, Amelia, Milagros, and Elizabeth; one nephew, Pedro, Jr.; and a life-long friend, Maria Stepien. Although Luisa never had children of her own, she absolutely adored kids. Luisa faithfully cared for her mother for 15 consecutive years, which demonstrates her strong devotion towards the well-being of others and her selfless personality. She will always be remembered for her generosity, big and caring heart, and most importantly for being a truly exceptional woman. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28th, 2014 from 2:00pm-6:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Burial will take place on Monday, September 29th, 2014 at 11:30am in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi, NJ.
