Mary Irene Mcdonough

Mary Irene McDonough, of Passaic, NJ, passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on May 4, 1957, she was the daughter of the late John R. McDonough and Miriam A. McDonough.

Mary was a source of strength and support for those around her. Fiercely independent and unwaveringly loyal, she was someone friends and family could always rely on. Whether offering guidance, standing by a loved one in difficult times, or simply being present when it mattered most, Mary made an impact through her quiet resilience and steadfast nature.

Outside of work, Mary found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She could often be found soaking up the sun, a book in hand, fully content in the warmth of a summer day. A devoted sports fan, she never missed an opportunity to cheer on her favorite teams.

She is survived by her brothers, Robert Douglas McDonough and Jim McDonough; her sisters-in-law, Charlanne McDonough and Michele McDonough; and her beloved nephews, Sean McDonough and Ryan McDonough. Most of all, she shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Shaggy, who was always by her side.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic, NJ.

Mary’s strength and presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
