My brother has gone home. He will forever be 59. I am going to miss our nighty text messages and hearing his laughter. I was able to speak to him the day before and he sounded happy. Those who know Mel need no explanation on how wonderful he was. He was funny, kind and a loving person who loved his family, friends and the New York Yankees. Please Join us as we say “see you later Melly Mel” and let us remember him and celebrate him for the jokester he was with us all. We will forever LOVE YOU! He is survived by: his children, Melvin Vargas Jr., Janelle Vargas, Elizabeth Lopes, Mom Maria Vargas, sister Marisol Diodonet.

Visitation services for Melvin Vargas will be held at Alvarez Funeraria Inc, located at 66 Passaic Ave, Passaic, NJ, 07055, on March 14, 2026. The visitation will begin at 5:00 PM and conclude at 9:00 PM.
