Onelia Sanchez

Onelia Sanchez also known as Onelia Rodriguez Sanchez (84), of Passaic, passed away peacefully after a long illness surrounded by her loving family on May 18, 2016. Born in Cuba on May 8, 1932. She lived in New York before moving to Passaic, NJ 45 years ago. Onelia was a very classy woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a loving and generous person who lived and loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed writing and reciting poetry, as well as singing and dancing.

Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Luis A. Sanchez; her children, Luis A. Sanchez, Jr. (Margaret), Sulema Sanchez Gonzalez (Edel), and Jesus David Sanchez; grandchildren, Erica, Jessica, Adam, Karissa, Luis III, William, and Armond; and great-grandchildren, Amalia and Antonio. Also survived by 2 sisters, loving-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 2-6PM in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Ave, Passaic. Cremation is private.
