Pascual Escalante Chavez

Pascual Escalante Chavez (100) of Clifton, passed away on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019. Born on January 6th, 1919 in Peru to Tomas Escalante and Gregoria Chavez. Pascual worked many years as a police officer in Lima, Peru. Pascual had a love for music, in which he would practice with his violin. In the eyes of his entire family, Pascual was known as a strong man who helped everyone and one who did everything for his family. Survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Sofia Escalante and children, Pedro Escalante and his wife Norma, Rosa Carmina Oblitas, Cesar Escalante, Olga Casafranca and her husband Abel, and Eva Cheshire and her husband Andrew. Pascual has 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9th, 2019 from 1:00pm-5:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ 07055. Cremation is private.
