Paula Dukes-Brown

Paula A. Dukes-Brown (42) of Newark, passed away on Sunday, May 28th, 2017. Born in Passaic, NJ, to Addie L. and Clarence Dukes, Jr. Survived by her husband, Lance Brown; 1 daughter, Inayaa; 2 sons, Jaylen and E.J.; 2 sisters, Gail (McKoy) Perkins of Maryland, and Casandra (Kevin) Malloy, of Passaic; 2 brothers, Anthony Dukes, and Troy (Rae) Logan of Nanuet, NY; a stepson, Isaiah of Connecticut & two godsons Shadur and Desmond; her best friend of many years, Bernadette Land and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. She graduated from Passaic High School. She received her B.A. degree from Passaic Community College, and in 2016, earned a Master's degree in Education Techonology from NJC University. She was a teacher for 19 years for the Passaic Board of Education. Paula was a dedicated teacher. She had a big heart. She maintained and cultivated many friendships throughout her life. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4th, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Funeral Service will begin at 7pm. Interment will take place on Monday, June 5th, 2017 at 11:30am in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton NJ.
