Raphael Garcia Jr., affectionately known as “Papito”

April 20, 1966 – October 28, 2026

Our family mourns the passing of our beloved Raphael Garcia Jr., affectionately known as “Papito,” a cherished brother, uncle, great-uncle, family member, and friend whose life was filled with love, generosity, faith, and music.

Papito had a heart of gold and deeply loved family and friends. Papito was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need—the kind of person who showed up for others, gave freely from the heart, and never hesitated to help those in need. Papito’s kindness, laughter, and generous spirit touched the lives of many and will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing Papito.

One of Papito’s greatest passions was music, especially house music. Music was more than something Papito listened to; it was part of who Papito was. Papito admired the legendary Lil Louie Vega, whose music served as an inspiration. There was nothing quite like seeing Papito enjoying the moment, feeling the rhythm, and dancing.

Papito was predeceased by his father, Rafael Garcia Sr.; sister, Mildred Garcia; brother, Gabriel Garcia; and, most recently, mother, Carmen Garcia.

Papito leaves to mourn an oldest sister, Awilda Mcneil (Curtis Mcneil) of Baltimore, and brother Raymond Garcia (Nancy Garcia) of Clifton, New Jersey. Papito is also survived by nephews Ricardo Pabon, Mark Anthony Jackson, and Jose “Yito” Montalvo; nieces Tanisha Hinksman, Clarissa Jackson, and Tatiana Raddi; as well as great-nieces, great-nephews, many cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11th, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055.
