Rosa Gomez

Rosa Gomez (née Alicea), 92 years old, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023 in Land O’ Lakes, Florida surrounded by her loved ones. Born to Seferino and Gregoria Alicea (nee Jimenez) in Morovis, Puerto Rico on April 27th, 1931. She was raised in Barahona, PR; resided in Manati; and then, moved to Paterson, NJ in 1968.

She worked in the City of Paterson for many years. She was a member of the Iglesia No Sectaria Pentecostal. She took great joy in her faith, family, and many brothers and sisters in Christ. Rosa is predeceased by her late husband, Alonso Gomez (December 13th, 2016); and sisters, Providencia and Mercedes.

Rosa was the devoted mother of Antonia Torres-Medina, Marta Angelina Torres and Maria De Los Angeles Torres-Maldonado. Loving grandmother of Maribel and Michael, Marie and Jimmy, Junior and Melissa, Elizabeth Medina, George Medina, Israel and Yazmin, Connie and Paul, Juan Medina, Sugel Maldonado, Benjamin and Giana. Cherished great-grandmother of Albert Junior, Milton, Anthony, Jayden, Bryan, Amberlys, Alicia, Jordan, Jasmine, Michael, Amanda, Eric, Dalilah, Cecelia, Isabella, Jayden, Legend, Justin, Ariella, Ethan, Leo, Lianess, Yemaya, Lazarus,Linda, Victor, and Alexander.

Beloved great-great-grandmother of Ethan, Ariana, Marina, Bella, Shia, Airmies, Leylah and Eloy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023 from 9:00am-11:00am in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Burial, to follow, at 11:30am in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton NJ.
