Sonia Iris Oyola

Sonia Iris Oyola, of Paterson, NJ, passed away on April 18, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born on June 26, 1956, in Cataño, Puerto Rico, to Fermin Aponte and Ana Resto. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 226 Harrison Street, Passaic, NJ 07055.

She is survived by her three children, who carry forward the legacy she built with grace, resilience, and unwavering devotion. Sonia faced life’s trials with courage, especially during her final days, and met each moment with the same tenacity that defined her spirit. She is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited in heaven with her beloved brother, Jimo. We find comfort in knowing she is smiling once more, surrounded by love, and watching over those she held closest to her heart.
