Sonia Maria Robles

Sonia Maria Robles (72) of Paterson, passed away after a valiant fight against a very aggressive colon cancer, on August 24th, 2023 with her family by her side.

She was a self-made Spanish food Restaurant Cook, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Unconditional friend to many.

Sonia was devoted to her family. When in need she was always there to receive you with open arms. You knew that even if for any reason she was upset with you, you can always come home. She was funny and had an infectious smile. She was often sarcastic and definitely no filter when speaking her mind. She was loved and respected by her family.

She was a loving mother to her sons, Wilfredo (Tito) Rodriguez, Javier (Javi) Rodriguez (RIP) and daughter, Elizabeth (Lissy) Cepeda. She was also survived by her brother, Junior; Grandchildren: Jaqueline, Jordany, John, Veronica (RIP), William, Michael, Anthony, Javier, Tiffany, Destiny, Aneira and Brianna; great Grandchildren, Jamirah, Elanna, Avian, Jacob, Mia Lee, Destiny, Jovani, Jayvien, Aviana, Zyon and Jesiah.

She was an unconditional friend for a lifetime to many. Our hearts hurt as she transitions to be with our lord. Rest in peace mom, you are profoundly missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 from 4:00pm-8:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Cremation is private.
