Sulema Gonzalez

Sulema Gonzalez (58) of Wayne, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 16th, 2018, while on vacation in Cuenca, Ecuador with her husband, Edel Gonzalez. They were an amazing couple who lit up the room wherever they were. They met in grammar school and married after graduating Passaic High School in 1978. Together they built a life focused on family, love, generosity, and hard work.

Sulema was born in Bronx, New York. Predeceased by her mother, Onelia Sanchez. Survived by her daughter, Erica Joy and Michael Almeida; son, Adam Matthew and Erin Quigley; two grandchildren; her father, Luis Sanchez, Sr.; brothers, Luis Sanchez Jr. and wife Margaret, and David Sanchez; father-in-law, Luis Gonzalez and wife Canda; sister-in-law, Ana Niurka and husband Luis Santin; brother-in-law, Jorge Verona; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 from 2:00pm-6:00pm in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Cremation is private.
