Tomas Adolfo Ruiz

Tomas Adolfo Ruiz, 59, of Passaic, NJ, passed away on February 20, 2025. Born on July 11, 1965, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Jorge Carlos Ruiz and Irma Aviles.

Beloved spouse, father, son, brother, and uncle, Tomas was a man who embraced life with passion and love for his family. He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, sharp style, and kindhearted spirit. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and all those he held close to his heart.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Vilma I. Ortiz; his devoted mother, Irma Aviles Ruiz; his children, Tomas E. Ruiz (TJ), Michael J. Ruiz, Idelis (Evie) Ortiz, and Pedro A. Ortiz (Juni); his cherished granddaughter, Destiny Crockett (nee Martinez); six siblings; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whom he considered family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in his honor. Cremation will be private, with a memorial service to be announced in Puerto Rico
