Tonia Michelle Velez

Tonia Michelle Velez (51) of Bronx, NY passed away on Monday, July 5th, 2021. Born on August 20th, 1969 at Parkchester General Hospital in the Bronx, NY to Rafael Velez and Fredericka Patricia Lamb. She had three siblings, Rafael Velez, Jr., Haashim Abdul Velez, and Tawana Elizabeth Velez. Tonia graduated from Walton High School and then continued her education at Bronx Community College. Tonia later had a daughter, Jazmine Sarita Alford, with Christopher Alford. Eighteen years later, she had a son, Richard I. Jorge, Jr., with Richard Jorge. She previously worked for Aon Insurance at the World Trade Center and then at One Liberty Plaza. Her religion was Christian/Catholic, and her favorite hobby was dancing. /Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16th, 2021 from 8:30am-10:30am in Funeraria Alvarez, 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic NJ. Burial, to follow, at 11:00am in Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Avenue, Clifton NJ.
