William Mason Townsend

William Mason Townsend, born on June 24, 1956 passed away on June 5, 2025. He was a loving husband, father, and cherished brother who touched the lives of many during his time with us.

William is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Townsend. He was a proud father to Christina DeMarco, Joseph Boyko, and William Townsend Jr., each of whom carries forward the values and love he instilled in their family. He shared a special bond with his siblings: his dear brother Johnnie Mac Townsend and his sister Mary Ann Garter, along with his brothers-in-law Barry Gaiter, Greg, and Ben, and his sister-in-law Linda, he is also survived by 10 Grand-kids and 11 Great-grandchildren. Williams memory is also survived by a whole host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as his dear friend Angel Giro.

William is preceded in death by his son, Henry Ball, and his sisters Willie Ruth Townsend and Mary Jane Townsend. He also joins his parents, Willie James Townsend and Elizabeth Townsend, in eternal rest.

The visitation for William will be held on June 12, 2025, at Alvarez Funeraria Inc, located at 66 Passaic Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It will be a time for family and friends to come together and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many. His legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
