Yokandra Smith

Yokandra Smith of Clifton, NJ, was born in the Dominican Republic to Ramon Bonifacio and Ramona Hernandez. Yokandra passed away on November 6th, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Yokandra was happily married to Kareame Smith who was her partner in life for 13 years at the time of her death. Yokandra is survived by her husband and her 3 children Luis, Alexis and Mariah.

Yokandra loved spending time with family and friends. She had a passion for traveling, gardening and home decorating. She enjoyed spending time outside in her garden planting roses, hydrangeas and all sorts of colorful flowers. Yokandra had a beautiful and sweet personality and she touched many lives with her kindness, loyalty, and passion for life.

Please join us in honoring her life. The first visitation will take place on Monday, November 11th, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Funeraria Alvarez, located at 66 Passaic Avenue, Passaic, NJ 07055. A second visitation will follow on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A service will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Church, located at the corner of Oak Street & Myrtle Avenue, Passaic, NJ 07055. The burial will occur afterward at 11:15 AM at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07014.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society in honor of Yokandra Smith.
